Rocket
Status:
Freeware
(use and distribute freely as long as you don’t modify
it)
Programmer:
Mervin Bitikofer
Programming Language:
Qbasic
(compiled)
Description:
An incredibly simple, yet difficult task
is presented: Just
fly the rocket to the space station!
Sounds easy?
With only two dimensions to worry about, I’m sure it is easy
compared to the real challenges astronauts face.
But this program is a simple demonstration of inertia
that can fascinate young children and old alike. You won’t find
any shootem up action here!
If you are after arcade action fun, this may prove disappointing.
You can only turn the ship (using the left and right
arrows) and fire the main thruster to move it forward.
With only three controls, it is not hard to learn.
The challenge is to accomplish the mission!
Minimum system requirements: Should function fine in DOS, Windows 3.X, or Windows 95/98/ME with standard graphics display (No mouse or sound card is needed. These are NOT used).
